Anti-Privatization of Health Insurance Leafleting at Jefferson Market,July 12,12-4 pm

The Coalition Against Privatization will be handing out informational leaflets citywide on Saturday, July 12. Neighborhood activist Elizabeth Adam will meet volunteers in front of the Jefferson Market, 450 Sixth Ave. (10th to 11th Streets) between 12 noon and 4 p.m.

5th Anniversary Observance of the Iraqi War.

Peaceful civil disobedience actions are planned to take place March 19 in Washington D.C.
VID Executive Committee member, Tim McNerney, will coordinate VID's participation with
United For Peace and Justice (UFPJ), one of the sponsors On Saturday, March 22,
River to River: Join Hands for Peace, starting at noon, volunteers will join hands in a
human chain along 14th Street from Avenue A to 11th Avenue in a call for peace.

New Endorsement Vote for President Thursday, March 13

VID members will have another chance to endorse a Presidential candidate on Thursday, March 13, 7:30 p.m., at St. Mark's Church in-the-Bowery Parish Hall, Second Avenue and East 10th Street. You'll also hear about upcoming events marking the 5th anniversary of the Iraq war and the latest developments on local issues and New York State politics. Everyone is welcome, but only VID members for at least 90 days are eligible to vote.
